I bought this pump to replace my original and it is much nicer than the original Rule live well pump, you can now just replace the motor cartridge with the push of a button. Great concept, because my old pump failed and it was a thru hull type and to replace it, it all had to come out and the transom resealed. Now if it should fail in the future, just snap on a new motor and it's good as new again without breaking the waterproof seal in the transom, the base remains permanent.The whole unit seems a bit better in quality altho the GPH remained the same, and a new motor cartridge is 30 bucks and a 2 minute refit, as I have a very limited space at the motor box, this seemed to be the trick solution in the event the pump needs service in the future.

Great pump for pumping water to your live bait tank. Has a seperate outlet that can be used to attach a garden hose and wash down the boat.
Easy to install, make sure you use 3M 5200 Caulk.
Has a replaceable cartridge to easily replace the motor without having to re-install the whole thing again.
