This is a really good product. The adhesive is strong and evenly applied, and 40 feet is a lot. One possible disadvantage is that sometimes you get some adhesive on the edge of the item, making it tacky on top. This would be problematic for some scrapbooking applications because it might make pages stick to each other. But Xyron sells a rubber "adhesive eraser" that picks the extra stuff up quite well, so no problem.
Xyron is a great brand. Highly recommended. The price here is $6 less than the local chain craft store, but if you take a 40% coupon to said store you'll get a great deal.

I haven't even needed the refill cartridge yet, but I will soon since I use my XRN900 for all sorts of projects! My fiancee and I bought the XRN900 along with this refill cartridge to create our own address labels and other personalized items for our wedding. It honestly could not be easier to use. We have fed inkjet paper through it and also thick 110lb cardstock. Both have worked extremely well. If you ever need to make your own stickers, use the Xyron XRN900! I haven't tried any of the other cartridges, only the permanent adhesive one, but it has worked perfectly for what we need. I am not the arts & crafts type but I do appreciate an easy-to-use machine that simplifies everything.
IMHO, you really could not go wrong with this line of products.

This is a fantastic product that really works as advertised. I've used much larger, more expensive, equipment that does not work near as well as this system. The top sheet works very well at "catching" the adhesive, allowing you pull the top sheet off and have a row of pieces ready to be applied to your substrate. I use this for prototyping and doing small production runs of board games and it works great.

I enjoy making scrapbooks and this was a grreat help, make sure you bye the one in the white holder the glue is so much better then the blue holder
