Yeah right. Hardly charges my controller and it broke the third day I had it! I bought a new one because my old one got a short in the wire....then this one got a short in the wire. Very annoying, also the cord is shorter than the original play and charge cord. so its overall a waste of money.

This kit is good because it does its job. However, the cord is WAY too short. I was not able to go far with the cable plugged in from the xbox360 to my controller. Not only that, it doesn't include a charge pack so you are left buying one on your own. If either of the above doesn't matter to you, then this product is great. If it does, then go with the original Play & Charge kit that has a really long cord and with a charge pack.

Absolutely great to have to charge your controllers pack, only thing us I wish it was a tad bit longer, it doesn't reach my couch while its plugged in charging, other than that it was a great purchase

A great cable that works and is fairly durable.
The length of the cable is a little more than 5 1/2 feet including the ends that are inserted into your Xbox360 and Controller.
Like the previous reviews and the product information state, this cord does not come with a rechargeable battery. If you are without a rechargeable battery, there are plenty of 3rd party batteries that work as well as Microsoft brand batteries for a fraction of the cost (I prefer the black Nyko battery, which I have also reviewed).
However, it might be a better deal just to get the bundle pack from Microsoft (their Play and Charge kit comes with a battery AND a charge cable, and is usually around $15). You will usually save money on shipping that way and pay less overall if you need both the charging cable and the battery.
