Although this item is listed as being "capable of providing data override interface solution for every type of GM immobilizer system" what they fail to mention is that you may need to update the firmware on this module to make it work with your particular GM vehicle.
You will find the Firmware here -> [...]
You will need to buy an XLOADER2 to do the firmware update.
Ask yourself if you're really saving anything. It's a hassle, trust me

I was having bestbuy install a viper smart start along with a viper 5901 on my 2000 GMC Jimmy, they were going to charge me 120.00 for it so I went and bough it off amazon for less. they still charged me for the installation of it because i did not buy it from them.
