Everyone has their own opinion, here is mine.....Jul 24, 2011
By Allie After reading other customer's reviews, I almost didn't order this item; I am, however, glad that I listened to my gut intuition and purchased it to do home-monitoring for a relative who was not feeling well on a Saturday morning when most doctor's offices are closed! This product is very well made and comes with a bonus hard plastic travel case. This unit requires two (2) "AAA" batteries, which are NOT included in the box. Set up was very simple and this unit is extremely easy to use. Large digital readings and previous 99 reading memory capacity is also an excellent feature on this model. Measurement readings take approximately 90 seconds, slightly longer than other models, but if you are sitting comfortably at a table or lying in bed, the time passes more quickly (just remember to try and sit still without talking, for a more accurate reading). In my opinion, this model meets all of my expectations for a home, easy-to-use BP and heart rate monitor. Please remember that NO home-monitoring devices should EVER take the place of visiting your doctor for their professional opinion and advice. Thanks for taking the time to read my comments; I hope they have been helpful to you!

This product works very well, and is easy to use. I have checked it
against my cuff type monitor, and they agree.

WrisTech is accurate and handy productMar 29, 2009
By Menghis Tecleab I used WrisTech 15 minutes before I went to my doctor's office. My doctor got the same numbers as WrisTech. I use it all the time. I use it before and after meal that way I know what food raises my blood pressure.

Well made, but a pain to useApr 01, 2010
By Erik Lie Nielsen
"Gnarly"
PROS: 1: Although made in China, this unit appears to be very well-made;
2: The price is attractive compared to the competition;
3: The small size should make it attractive for use by joggers, walkers, etc. However, due to its drawbacks, I almost sent it back (see below). In fairness, the seller readily offered to take it back for a full credit (less my return shipping), but since I really wanted a truly portable unit I have reluctantly decided to keep it in spite of its limitations.
CONS: 1: My monitor is extremely sensitive to vertical location relative to the heart. It can give widely varying (40-80% different) BP readings when changing its vertical position by only an inch or two - likely a function of a less reliable input at the wrist location. Pulse readings seem accurate. For consistent readings, I `calibrated' the unit against a larger fixed unit to determine the precise elevation for BP accuracy, then must try to reproduce that each time for my use, a real pain.
2: My unit takes one full minute to provide a read-out, which is two or three times as long as a fixed unit, and very unhandy for road work - my main reason for buying the unit.
SUMMARY: Although I will keep my unit I can not in fairness recommend it to anyone else.
