Even if you're cost sensitive when purchasing the wine, this is definitely a great investment and worth the price. Solid, heavy construction. Spring closure with SIX cutters makes opening the wine VERY easy, with just a little pressure. Even with heavy usage, I expect this to last for years! Would make a great little gift, or paired with a bottle of your favorite.

Seriously, this is a very effective tool in the kitchen. Is it necessary? Probably not. Then again, I don't always want to fight the foil. Sure, I know that the foil can be twisted off with certain bottles, for whatever reason. Yet, I like this device. It does what I ask it to do. It does what I bought it for.
So what do I do? I have found myself buying a few as gifts to give to friends/family, because I know they will be able to rely on this product as well. It works every time. Always works. Never has failed in operation.

This is a terrible wine foil cutter. Even with lots of pressure, it take 4 or 5 tries to get this to work. I have tossed this in the garbage (no recycling this item).
