A lot of sound out of a thin profileJun 07, 2010
By TJ Holdemup My mother in-law was looking for a new compact stereo system. It needed to be easy to operate, have a remote, and I stressed getting something IPOD compatible just in case she gets one in the future. She seems very happy with it. Set up was easy. The sound was amazingly rich for such thin speakers. I know this style of player was easy to get a few years back. I think fisher made some similar models. If you are looking for something with a thin profile for a bookself or the like consider this.

Good sound, good priceNov 10, 2010
By Jared P Zochert This is a good product if all you want is a relatively inexpensive option for providing some background music for a room. Definitely not for use as a party sound system, but it works great in our living room for when guest are over or we want to listen to the iPod or radio.

Do Not Buy This!Nov 30, 2010
By Utah Skier At first glance, looks great, but upon further review, major problem for me: It fried my iPod. All attempts to reformat the iPod after inserting it into the docking station have failed. Apple cannot repair the damage. Also the highlighted clock/radio screen is not visible unless at an angle. If you look at the screen directly, no numbers are showing. The blue light backlight blinds out the rest of the numbers.

Just what I was looking for...Dec 20, 2010
By PattyD333 I purchased this stereo system in September with credits from my bank's reward program, and have yet to experience any of the issues posted in the negative reviews. If I had to do it again, I'd pay for it this time. When I got mine, I figured I'd take a chance since it had everything I was looking for, was super affordable, and sounded like it would get the job done (from what was then the only review). While it doesn't have the sound quality of some other systems out there [...], mine does not sound tinny at all, but is quite rich for the price range. And no matter what EQ setting/volume level I set it on, it doesn't get that weird & buzzy effect you sometimes get with cheap speakers. The remote is a great bonus & even works on my ipod which is excellent! Also great is the aux in port (sometimes omitted from stereos these days) which allows the use of other mp3 players and the like (hooray Pandora from my cell phone!), though you do have to supply your own cord for that function.
I'm only knocking it a star because the backlight is BRIGHT- not an issue for me as far as seeing the clock, but I wish there were a way to dim it for bedtime. Also, if your power blinks for a split second, you have to reset the clock as there is no place for batteries and it does not have any sort of memory in that way...

JunkNov 29, 2010
By Brett Conley We grabbed four of these at a local store on Black Friday. Usually we wait until Christmas to try things out, but this time we decided to pull them out of the box and test them first. The first one we tried we had the hardest time with the buttons. Seemed like they just wouldn't do anything. So we opened another one and played with it. Same problem with the buttons. Finally figured out that you have to push in just the right spot on the button to make it work (the far right edge). If you push anywhere else, the button does nothing.
Other than that, construction is flimsy, sound is quiet (at full volume) and tinny, unit is so light that you can't push one of the buttons without knocking it over. I just don't see any good reason to spend any money on this thing (and we spent $50 on each of them). It's just a piece of junk.
We're taking all four of ours back to the store.
