Installed unit without much trouble, and it worked OK for about a half hour. When I tried to change radio station, unit died. Unfortunately, I purchased this item from a local store on sale without first researching it on Amazon. I just found out it has terrible reviews, and I won't be getting the same brand/model. Going for the Sony ICF-CDK50. For a little more money, it had excellent reviews.

I bought this for my wife for her birthday. She likes cooking and asked for a under the counter radio for when she is in the kitchen. I stepped it up and got her an under the counter radio / cd / Aux player. The mounting instructions were easy, the remote works from a good distance, The radio (and antenna) gets all the stations in range of our house, we havent tried the cd player yet (mostly because its 2011 and cd's are so 1990. My wife likes to plug in her Droid incredible with the aux cable and play mp3's, slacker rario, or pandora radio through it. The cd player doesn't play mp3 disc's so lose 1 star for that because like I said it's 2011. If the cd player can't play mp3 disc's then you might as well make it play records or 8 tracks. Also I would have liked a little bit bigger or more powerful speakers. My wife said the sound from the radio sounds like it is comimg from a clock radio, but we both agreed it was louder than her phone's built in speakers. Overall I am happy with it and so is my wife (which is the important thing anyway right?). I would definately recomend this to friends and family.

I wish I would have tested this before we took the time to drill into the cabinet and install it. The CD player skips randomly on every CD I play, the sound quality is terrible--like there is no speaker system in place at all. Reminds me of a transitor radio I had when I was a kid. I was able to plug in my iPod Nano--it doesn't sit nicely in the drop down but I was able to just shut the door--couldn't see what songs were playing but it still worked. I am having my husband take it down so I can return it. Don't waste your money on this item!

I purchased this on Black Friday for $35 and it was not worth the money. The sound quality is very poor and the reception is terrible.

I was excited to receive this for Christmas so I could hook up my iPod and listen to the songs in the kitchen. Little did I know, it isn't designed for an iPod. The jack hook-up is designed to plug into the TOP of your device (an iPod's is at the bottom). The jack that comes with the GPX unit isn't long enough to even hook into the bottom of an iPod. We had to buy a cable so it would extend to where I need it to be. I finally got it hooked up and the darn thing will not hold my iPod in the pop down holder. There isn't a way to plug the jack into the iPod while having it sit in the holder. Such a joke. I wish I would have kept the packaging so I could return it. Do not waste your money on this piece of junk.
