5Great mic standJun 04, 2010
By lupin89
I mean, it's a mic stand. You could pay $80 for another mic stand, however the benefit would be something to the effect of, "Hey John (that's you- your name is John in this scenario), that's a great mic stand."
You (again, you are John): "Thanks. It cost like $80."
Them: "Oh man, that's a lot of money for a mic stand. It must have space powers."
You: "It does not."
Them: "Oh. Do you wanna get some pizza."
You: "Sure- as long as we split it this time."
Them: "Oh my God, John- that was like 3 years ago. Tell you what, I'll get this one if you'll shut up about it from now on."

And it goes on and on and on...

It's a great mic stand. For real it is.

5Great stand for a great price!May 14, 2010

We ordered this mic stand with boom for use with a guitarist and it works great for us. The mic base is sturdy enough not too tip, even at the furthest adjustment. The boom clamps tightly and does not drop with the weight of the mic. I would highly recommend this mic stand and boom.

5Pyle Pro PMKS3Mar 05, 2011

This is a very good microphone stand for the price. It is sturdy and can adjust to most peoples height. The only downside is the microphone holders are soft plastic and sometimes a bigger microphone can pop out. I give it a 5 out of 5 though for the price cause it does what I need it for.

5Rock star quality!Apr 05, 2011

I got the mic stand for use with Rock Band. It is fully adjustable, height, angles, etc. Works great for standing in front of you just singing or coming in from the side so you can play guitar or drums at the same time without it getting in the way. Very sturdy, quality materials.

1Pretty bad...even for non-live useJan 28, 2012
By Ryan R. Stoner
I bought this stand for studio use only, with the intention of it never seeing the stage. I figured I could go a little cheaper in price range if I didn't have to rely upon it in a live situation. I now wish I would have spent a bit more to get a more solid stand. Be advised, all of the joints on this thing are plastic, as are the knobs. Not even hardened plastic.

The center pivot is especially infuriating, as it causes the whole lateral arm to jiggle when extended to any reasonable length. I would categorize it as barely usable when saddled with a condenser mic and raised to accomodate a singer in standing position. It leans and flexes to the point where minimal movement or bumping will cause it to topple.

Being barely usable in a studio situation, I would NEVER use this thing live. I've done a fair amount of live/tour playing in a variety of settings, and this stand would be a nightmare. Steer clear and get something heavier duty.
