Does the jobJan 05, 2012
By Jeremy Parr Nothing special here, just a very basic C weighted SPL meter. The LCD screen seems to indicate that it is capable of many other functions (dba, dbc, average, etc) but there are only two functions. Min/Max, and current, no average or different weightings. If I had to complain about something, the button to switch to min/max is noisy, and the click is makes when pressing generates at least 50db of noise in to the meter. This is a problem if you need a minimum lower than that level. I imagine most people will be using this for home theater setup, and it does that job just fine. Frequency response seems relatively flat to at least 30hz.
