Power Source The SatAlign 2 is powered by the Satellite Receiver. There is also a power jack located under the "RECEIVER" terminal which can be used to power the SatAlign 2 with a user supplied external source. If the power level is less than 15V +/-0.5V, the 13V LED will light. If the power level is more than 15V +/-0.5V, the 18V LED will light. Bought this one instead of one of the really cheap ones after reading their reviews. Used it in a replacement dish installation on a pole and then a couple of times since then when strong Texas winds shifted the dish offline. Works well and have had no problems at all with it.

This device was wonderful to use. I picked it up to align the Wingard Carryout MP1. It made setup a breeze. Only 2 1/2 minutes and I had a great signal and was locked in perfectly.
The thing I like about this device is that the beeper is not too loud compared to others. That isn't to say you can't turn up the gain, but if you turn it all the way down, it doesn't sound like it is still screaming.
I can't say enough good things about this little device, it saved me from having to go buy the automatic dish or risking insanity!

This unit works well. Found Satelites easy. The audible signal is handy, but you can't turn it off without disconnecting the unit. Therefore, you can't leave the unit connected all the time (unles you want to hear the whistle all the time). It also, detects all available satillites, not necessisarily the one you want. All in all, it was a wothwhile imvestment. I use this while camping in our Airstream trailer for Direct TV.
