Pretty,but not worth the priceOct 27, 2010

There are separate temperature controls,but it does not matter because it cycles on and off constantly. Due to this it does not maintain a constant heat.I even bought a cheap aluminum pot and pan and it doesn't conduct heat any better. The range is a closed solid plate not the open rings. Despite other reviews, It doesn't maintain heat setting so you can never get to a full boil for water, or proper temperature for cooking meat.Probably best suited for warming,you can't do much more cooking than an egg or pancakes slowly. Aesthetically it is pleasing and would fit flawlessly in an updated kitchen. It is rounded and doesn't take up much space. The larger burner does hold a bigger pot but because the unit is smaller you really can't fit another cookware on the other burner if you do so. I would have done better by purchasing an electric skillet or spending the extra money for a chefs plate.
