Keeps you warm!Nov 01, 2010
By HRHJennifer I ordered the Terramar Terra "underpant" for a Fall trip to Oregon. The pant is super thin - almost seems like hosery, except that they are comfortable. They do not itch and they definitely keep you warm! I wear a size XL because I'm tall. The waist area was taller than it needed to be (as usual with thermal underwear), but because Terramar is so thin, it was easy for me to roll the waist band down a couple times to create a good fit. I would never know I was wearing them except for I was toasty warm in the snow! I definitely recommend this product. Super fast shipping a plus!

Women's Silk pantFeb 05, 2009
By David Isbell My wife says that these silk long underware are very comfortable and warm when worn under a pair of pants or skirt. They are very thin so fit nicely under pants without bulkiness. Wish they came in more of a variety of colors. Highly recommend them...they will keep you toasty. Also they are great to sleep in- hardly feels like you have anything on...comfy!

Can't live without them, but consider them disposableSep 23, 2011

I have not found a reasonably priced product I like more than these silk long underwear, but be advised that they run more easily than panty hose. If I have about 3 pair to alternate throughout the winter, I can make it until spring before having to throw them away. They literally shred to pieces and get large holes anywhere nicked. I like the smooth fabric of the men's pants better. It lasts longer than the Women's pointelle, but has an even higher waist and thicker waistband than the women's pants. The women's waistband is quite narrow compared to the pants, so I have to buy size XL to compensate. I like to pair these silk pants with the Terramar Woolskins over the top. The wool pants last quite a bit longer. They still get holes but don't shred. They are too itchy to wear without the silk underneath. Another negative: the various colors are slightly different sizes -- they don't fit the same way. I have had to send some back. I will keep buying and throwing them away until I find something better!

Warmies!Feb 08, 2010
By John Breyer I'll not do a video review, since these are for my wife to wear.
She reports they are very light weight and really are warm. She wants more.

Go a size up, and they are thinDec 06, 2011
By Deborah Shore First of all, I have never had an Amazon item take so long to ship before. I do a huge amount of my buying on Amazon.
I think I may need to return these, although it's really unclear whether an item that has been tried on and still has it's tag is considered unworn.
I have had silk long johns before, including filament silk (as well as mid-expedition weight, so I know something about the range), and these are particularly thin.
I know that long johns vary a lot in size, so I went to the Terramar site for help w/ sizing. It is important to do this b/c if I had gone by the sizes I wear in most clothing brands today, I would have been a XS or a S, and instead I was a M according to the chart (and I really should have bought a large). According to waist and hip sizes, I should fit well in the size I bought. However, it seems my legs are a bit thicker than these are especially made for, and the waistband is not comfortable to me. I feel like the fibers on my legs are stretched to a busting point if I bend. While I could probably wear these comfortably when I'm a little lower in my typical weight range than I am today, I need to go a size up.
I'd definitely err on the side of up w/ these. I may repurchase them in a larger size. I haven't decided.
