This item was purchased because the original antenna failed after 2 years because of a design problem allowing moisture to enter the antenna. This new version works well and may get even better reception than the original, but is smaller in size. So far it seems like a definite improvement over the original antenna that came with the radio.

Works better than the original and is much smaller. Can hardly been seen sitting on the vehicle. I had my doubts when I saw the size, but no more. No problems at all.

Same as others, my OE antenna failed. This replacement seems better. Its wire is heavier, still limber enough to fit in. Antenna pod is not noticeably smaller than the original. It has the late-model pink connector; but you get a sturdy adapter that fits the Roady very well and connects more solidly than before. Happy enough, would be happier if it cost $20 less. There's still a certain new-tech ripoff factor afflicting this XM equipment.

The original antenna for my MyFi failed due to ???? (it lasted about 8 months). I ordered this as a replacement due to its lower price.
Although it looks the same, for some reason it works better. I have less signal loss in certain areas than with the original OEM antenna.
I have had it for over a year now and it is still going strong.
