Microsoft has changed the number of licenses you can generateMar 31, 2011
By RichardW Up until a few weeks ago, you could generate up to 10 licenses for any of the included Microsoft software. The subscription to technet was for only one year. But, the generated licenses do not expire.
Recently, Microsoft changed the terms so that you can now only generate 2 licenses for each software package. Ten was more than enough for most home users. Two is probably not enough. This used to be a bargin way to get MS software. It is less so now.
UPDATE: It turns out that each of the 2 licenses can be activated on 5(?) PCs. That means that it is still OK for my needs.

Great for PriceOct 28, 2011
By DA I have purchased this and this particular product is not the renewal this is the standard technet and well worth the money to try out. I have used this and have also setup the Windows Home Server 2011 and enjoy using it all. I have tried alot of the products and if you use more than one item pays for itself quickly.

Read this ignore the othersApr 25, 2011
By Geezup Ok so if your having a hard time activating a piece of software that is not a reason to give a review a 1 , ignore that guy as something being hard might be easy to others. If your a IT proffesional activations should be easy at this point.
But back to the product , its worth every penny. Even 2 fully licensed serial numbers of each product is worth it , Windows ultimate 7 is in the 200 dollar range , on top of the office products and the server products this is a great buy. 2 microsoft tickets for free which cost 125 each makes this a steal. I have used the technet support forums numerous amount of times on CRM 4.0 questions and being a member you will get a response withing 2 days. This is by far the best deal around and its worth every penny.

Activation/registration a painJan 23, 2012

It seems that there is something odd with the retail packages for this from Amazon. The online registration wouldn't work for me and I had to call to get it registered. That was an annoying and time lengthy process. I blame Microsoft. The registration key with the package was valid, but the online system didn't recognize it. Microsoft needs to fix it. I complained and got an extra month.
The subscription is otherwise great for anyone needing to support or learn Microsoft software.
This is the full product and not a renewal BTW.

Seriously MS?Apr 05, 2012
By barakdulac First off....is this turns out to be everything it is cracked up to be...AWESOME deal from MS.
My big complaint is the utter ridiculousness of their new subscription process. First off, you buy the package online and have to wait 3-5 days for delivery. Why they do this instead of handling it online is illogical.
Secondly, once you finally get said package, inside is an activation code you must then go online to activate your subscription. Um...why they didn't just do that in the first place?
Finally, you have to again wait for "72 hours" before they email you the actual license to use to download the software. Altogether it's about 2 weeks before you get to use what you actually purchased.
If security is the concern, why not just encrypt the licensing site and up the authentication? Why go through all this process when they email you the code anyway?
Why MS...why?
