Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1TQ8XNVENJEP3 I used these to encourage my young cousins to learn how to stop without jumping/stepping off the board. It was great incentive for learning to use the kick and not fall off. The sparks show up great in the daytime as well as the night (and turn a lot of heads). We made a skate video using tail devils sparking as some of the footage and it turned out awesome even though they could hardly skate. (The video I uploaded here is just one very short clip of a "first try" with a Tail Devil at night ... keep in mind that the 9yo boy had only owned a skateboard for a few days at this point). They do wear out fast, especially since kids like to use their hands to drag the board to see the sparks :) but it is so cool it is worth it. It comes with screws for big people to attach it to the board, but the adhesive held it on fine when I used it (a bunch). It may need the screws for big tricks or heavy grinding. We haven't tested just how far you can wear them down before replacing, but I am getting some for all our boards. I am putting two on the back of my cruiser because the kick is wide and flat edged. You definitely have to try it once!

This thing is deceptively small, like less than 2" wide. It wears out very quickly...you might get a few days of sparks, then it's gone.

This is a fun item while it lasted. The little spark making metal pieces are inserted into a plastic base that breaks and wears out quickly. It should be made of more durable materials.

perfect for longboards or cruisers. not ideal for trick skating but will work. i have mine on a cruiser, put it on the tail and when i break i turn heads.

I ordered this for my longboard which I had made a tail for. Assuming you are planning on installing this on wood (which you probably are) it goes on easily enough with the pre-attached two-sided foam tape and included screws. Even during the day, this thing is BRIGHT. The sparks look freaking sweet and I've turned plenty of heads with this thing. The plastic base is durable enough, but it wears out rather quickly. On a regular skateboard, you can probably expect it to last 2-3 weeks of hard wear. Overall, sweet piece. I love it.
