 Cute but VERY small - too small for usJun 23, 2008

This is a cute little vest, but boy it is VERY SMALL!
We bought this for our 5 year old twins that are on the thin side and weigh 35 lbs (within the weight range of the jacket). But when it arrived, we almost laughed. It is VERY SMALL. Looks like something you would buy for an infant, not for a preschooler. The tag hanging on the jacket says they come in 3 sizes:
infant (0-30)
child (30-50)
but inside this jacket was printed: infant/child (0-50).
Anyway, it is cute, but very small - I can see putting a young child in it, but not a 5 year old.

This is your standard life vest, and it works well. As other reviewers said, it is small. My son weighs 21 pounds and it fits him well. It would not fit a 30-50 pound child. Also important, the color was not as pictured. It is blue with a PINK interior.

I purchased two of these for my 3 and 4 year olds and they fit very well. I love the 3 chest buckles in addition to the strap between the legs. I know my kids are secure and the life jacket won't slip up over their heads if they fell overboard. I highly recommend this life jacket.

Great fit. My son is 3yrs old and around 35lb. He can practice swimming and feels safe. This is not a life preserver but a swimming aid. Keep that in mind as he could go under easily if he starts freaking out. So make sure to stay near them in the water.

Awesome!!! For a mother who is very nervous about having 2 young children on a boat in the first place it is amazing that I was able to relax. The Stearns Life Jackets were perfect. My children were able to float well and I felt like they were both very secure. Of course I had to be right by their side BUT... I wasn't nervous about saving them if something bad occurred with their having these jackets on. Thanks!
