Long sharp point allows view of exact place where point will impact. Point can be reveresed to store in handle. Unit does not have the magnetic end that some do. I view the lack of the magnet as a positive. If you dont need the carbide point, cheaper units are available with tool steel points.

Very sharp point, which you can reverse into the handle for storage. Feels light in the hand, and does the job well.
