As seen on "This Old House"May 13, 2007
By Daniel Davis Very effectively stopped squeaky floors caused by floorboards squeaking on loose nails. So far have used only on carpeted floors, but see no reason it shouldn't work as well on bare floors if you fill the tiny hole.

If you HATE that squeaky floor BUY IT! Highly recommended!Aug 07, 2009
By Manuel A. De Cueva Before I bought this product I was watching the YOUTUBE video and couldn't believe it. I live in a condo building & thank god I fixed that squeaky floor in my condo and my neighbor's condo.
The only tricky part is to find the center of the joist but once you find it is a piece of cake.
I think it work best on carpet floors as you can't see where you drilled but it also works fine on hardwood or ceramic floors with the difference that you will need to fill the hole with wood filler or some other product.
If you really wanna live in peace and stop that annoying floor squeak get it now!

Works well, but wont stop all noisesMay 19, 2012
By reviewer The carpeted floor upstairs kept getting more squeaky over time until my better half told me I had to do something, the night time bathroom trips were too squeaky!
Anyway I ordered the kit and it worked, mostly. It will get rid of most squeaks, but some won't go away no matter how many screws you put down, I put them as close as every 1/2 inch but some squeaks just won't stop.
Lessons learned: 1. I started with one room but ended up doing 3 rooms and a hallway, so order more screws then you think you will need to avoid spending days waiting for more screws.
2. Have a buddy help to put as much weight as possible on both sides of the squeaky joist to hold it down while you screw it down.
3. The drill bit lasts better then I thought it would, even with me putting as much body weight as possible on the drill. 500 plus screws and it still works.
4. Mapping out the joists takes all the time, but do it right the first time. I tacked-down entire joists so no squeaks would develop in currently quiet areas.
5. Most squeaks will go away easily, but not all of them. Also there are a few thumping type noises noticed after a squeak was gone.
6. You are going to bend some screws no matter how careful you are, they are pretty thin. Have vise grips handy to unscrew the bent ones.
7. If you ever re-carpet use a better (thicker) pad. Our house still has the original contractor carpet and pad. A better pad will spread out your footsteps and make for a quieter floor.

Worked extremely well!Feb 26, 2012
By Bill I used one of these kits years ago when they first came out. The current one is much better, the screws are longer, break off better with the tool and pull the flooring to the joist much better.
For me, it would be cost prohibitive to pull the carpeting up to fix the squeaks. There is way too much carpeting and the squeaks are spotty around the house. This tool worked well all the way around.
I placed the screws about 4" apart. I also had a helper stand by the screw to press the flooring against the joist. My flooring is plywood glued/nailed to the joists and carpeted. I did not use it on any other type of flooring. For my situation it worked extremely well.

Excellent, highly recommend itJul 29, 2011
By N. Tojimatova Our floors were really squeeky in some places. After my husband nailed those Squeeeek no more nails, our floors do not squeek anymore. Those nails are very easy to use and are indeed very helpful in eliminating those squeeky sounds.
