Incredible ToolMar 15, 2010
By California Bill I love the outdoors and I've found 100 ways to use this product. I have used it to repair my backpack, stitch a camp chair and even to fix the windows on my Jeep. It is incredibly easy to work the tough was thread through thick material. The thread is tough and will hold for a permanent repair. You will able to fix countless items with this tool that might otherwise be thrown away.

Works Better, Has Better Instructions, Made in USASep 23, 2011
By Guy "Gibby" Wolgamott I bought one of these for making a custom shoulder holster / baldric from the leather Tandy company. Was cheap balsa wood. This one is 100 times sturdier, works much easier and the instructions with this one is so much easier then the idiotic instructions from the Tandy leather version. Save time and buy this one, It's sturdy, easy to use once you get the hand of it, the instructions make sense, and its even made in the USA.

Works reasonable well.Jul 13, 2010
By Joseph Nuckols Works as planned. I used this to seam camper canvas and it worked pretty well. Worked even better once I enlisted one of my children to work the locking thread which is on the other side of the material.

handy, essential tool for every householdFeb 17, 2011

every household should have one of these; i grew up with one because my parents were practical Americans and would repair instead of replace
you'll be happy with this product, which is not some CHICOM ripoff - this stitching awl is made in the U.S.A.!
comes with two needles (found underneath the awl's chuck, *not* inside the handle like the cheap CHICOM stitching awls)
you used to be able to find these at every Tandy Leather shop, but alas, many of those stores have bit the dust in the recent economic downturn

A neat old-time product with lots of uses. I use mine for boating and sail repair. Also good for tarp and canvas work. It comes with three needles and plenty of heavy duty thread.
