Excellent Blender - best one I've ever had, and I've had many!Mar 01, 2011
By Amazon Customer LA I was ready to write a great review for this blender the moment I got it, but I thought, no, I should test it out, see if it fails to perform over time. It's been months and it's just been a wonderful blender, no problems. The pulse button is a very handy addition, because it modifies both HIGH and LOW buttons with one push, so it's very one-hand-friendly. It's got a strong motor, which is not too noisy ... you can smoothly lift the cups to stop it automatically, which is super smart. Altogether a very neatly designed product.
I use it every day, so it gets a serious work out on a weekly basis. Grinding coffee, making soups, smoothies, chopping vegetables into purees (of course you have to add liquid, it's not a food processor!). Whipping cream, chopping nuts, blending hot soups (careful, only fill it half way and start on LOW), etc...
If you want a compact, super easy to clean blender, that can go in the dishwasher (plastic does get a bit cloudy, but I don't care if it means I don't have to hand wash it!), it's just the best little blender I've ever come across. And I've gone through many 'small' blenders - I had several MAGIC BULLETS, the pro and ordinary, they were good, but they are a poor design next to this blender.
I TOTALLY recommend it :) no hesitations.

DO NOT USE WITH ICEMay 24, 2011
By Chris Parker Worked GREAT for 3 months - wonderful smoothies, with finely-crushed ice.
Then the blender ripped its own bottom out!
The motor generates lots of torque, and the plastic bottom to which the blades & drive are attached is NOT up to the job.
Great blender for light-duty use. If you want to make smoothies (with ice) or do any heavy-duty chopping, don't buy this blender!

Purees better than anything; convenientNov 14, 2010
By J. G. Hartung I have really enjoyed using this product. I need to have easy-to-eat foods, so I started using blenders and a food processor to puree meals. What a pain, and the clean-up!! Don't get me started. This Cuisinart has saved the day. I fill it with the food I want to puree, add the liquid (needs more than you think) and then pulse. First on low, then high. I may take it off an shake it, and then run a bit more, occasionally I will run without pulsing for 30 secs. or so. Its fast!! It makes a smooth puree, better than my blender, better than my food processor and much quicker. Then I put the black top on the cup and viola, ready to eat. No other dishes needed. The clean up is easy -- just rinse the blade and put the top and cup in the dishwasher. There are plenty of cups and tops, so if I want to make another flavor or a side, I use another cup. This has been indispensable for me to eat regular food--the same food I make for my family, pureed. When I want hot items, I can put the cup in the microwave before or after blending, which makes it so much easier than a blender. For my needs this is perfect. I haven't used the grinding blade yet.
I'm having fun making great puree recipes...so much so, I'm thinking I should publish a book on them, or at least share with friends who are recovering and need easy to digest foods, or easy to eat foods.

::MEH:: Just not worth the costFeb 26, 2011

Blender itself works nice, no complaints The 4 to-go cups / lids though were a bit misleading. The lid is not fully sealed, it has an open mouth piece. So its not something you can close & stow in a bag. Side note: The cups are a bit narrow, I cant get my hand in them to wash them. Need a sponge on a stick to do so. I went to the manufacturer website to order an additional 2 cups and 5 lids (fully closed), the charge winded up being more then I paid for the entire product.
Edit / Update: I had to replace the blender already since the first one burned out. I am unsure if this is a fault of the product or my younger nephew who was using it at the time. However I do see many other complaints about the same thing and think it may be the blender. Unfortunately I never sent in the product registration for warranty and Im stuck completly rebuying this. Feels like I bought this product 3 times in the last year including just buying the replacement cups which were as expensive as the full product. So note to would-be buyers, fill out and send in your rebate and registration cards.
I still like having the 16oz cups and oddly enough the blender itself but for what I paid for all of this, I shouldve gotten much more for my money. I wouldve just tried something new at this point if it wasnt for investing so much in these seperate cups.
Just as a side note if you are getting this product make sure your getting it at the cheapest price. I currently see amazon selling this same model from different sellers at three different price points.

FailedApr 11, 2011
By harryg The big decal on this blender/chopper clearly says "350 Watts Crushes Ice!". So I go to make a smoothee with a banana, milk, and a few small ice cubes, and the blade assembly tears right out of the plastic bottom! Called Customer Service, and they denied repair or replacement under warranty because, they said, the unit wasn't designed to handle ice cubes! Threw it in the trash can, I will buy a Waring commercial blender instead.
