I'm pretty rough with sketchpads, and this one didn't hold up. It's got perforated sheets, which is nice. But the paper is very thin, not a whole lot better than newsprint, with the same dingy off-white shade. It tends to catch and crumple when I'm erasing. I like to use my sketchpads to work on drafts, so that got to be a problem. As a workaround, I pulled sheets out and taped them to my drawing surface with painter's tape, which helped.
If you're a responsible artist who takes care with their supplies, you'll probably be well-served by this sketchpad. Otherwise, look for a more durable paper.

We were not familiar with this brand of sketch pads but we took a chance and we were very pleased with the results! The "Sketcher" in our house is very happy with the quality and size of these pads. Delivery was prompt. These sketch pads were a little more expensive than those we have usually purchased but they were worth the price!

I was a little taken-aback when the sketchbook did not say on the cover that it is using recycled paper but i checked with the company and indeed it is as recycled as it says on the description. Good quality and happy i chose it.

Sturdy construction on the covers, the spiral binding keeps everything in line without mussing up the pages. I like the paper quality and the size of the sheets too. I also highly value art paper with good perforation, and this product passed. : ) I definitely recommend this sketchbook for other artists. It is not the cheapest sketchbook you'll find in walmart or somewhere, but it was definitely worth what I paid for it! It is of FAR better quality, and that makes a big difference. This book HOLDS UP to repeatedly being stuffed in over-crowded bags without having the paper being damaged. I will buy more of these when I use up this one!

Love it.
I can easily sketch with it,and the paper is smooth.
No trouble with erasing, either. :]
The pages rip out smoothly.
