All You Could Want in a Seam RipperDec 04, 2010

***** This little seam ripper is great! It is sturdy and handy and comes with it's own hard plastic cover. Clover makes another model (the 502) that is not quite as nice; it has a bulkier handle and a soft plastic slipover cover, so I would pick this one for sure out of all of the ones I've owned or found online. My best use of this handy little item is to rip out alterations I've made to my clothes. You can't go wrong here!
Highly recommended. *****

Really nice product. The tip is fine enough to remove those irritating tags sewn into collars, and the handle is a good shape to hold securely.

Ultimate Seam RipperJun 18, 2011
By Lili The Clover seam ripper is the best I have found. It is sharp for a long time. The handle is comfortable when using. The small tip makes it easy to pick seams. Makes tedious jobs a bit easier.

Perfect - sharp, easy to hold, does the jobApr 04, 2011
By Ali Julia This seam ripper is perfect.
1. Sharp, you don't need try to cut the same place more than once 2. Convenient handle, my hand does not get tired even on a large ripping job 3. Come with a cover for the ripper, so I don't stub myself when I am not using it 4. Sturdy, hold up even when I am working it hard 5. Work great in hard to reach places, getting tiny stitches
What else can you ask from a ripper? The only thing it does not do is do the job without your help ;-)

Works very well, comfortable to hold and use.Feb 13, 2012

I like the fact that this ripper has a nice large handle and nice sharp point. Because it is larger it is more comfortable to hold onto and I am less likely to lose it. I have lost a couple of smaller ones in the past.
I have found that this ripper works perfectly for ripping general sewing projects with a regular sized stitch length, say at a setting of 2.0 on my sewing machine.
Cons: If I am trying to undo stitching for a paper piecing project which has a stitch length of say 1.4 or 1.6, I find that this ripper is not fine enough and I really struggle to correct mistakes made during these projects when using this ripper.
Also the cap is small and does not secure onto the other end of the handle (ie: like a pen cap), therefore the cap must remain lose, making it easy to lose. The cap is pretty necessary for storage since the end is sharp, so even though I haven't lost the cap yet, I know it is somewhat inevitable which i find unfortunate.
