1Useless AnchorJul 22, 2010
By lionking
This screw anchor was touted to me as a solution to hold my jet ski at anchor in shallow water, but here's the problems with this system:
A) The screw that goes into the sand is only 12" long, It never 'bit' properly, needs to be 22" at least.
B) Both hooks are plastic, so attaching to the Ski eye, after a couple gentle waves hit, broke the first hook, I then tied the rope to the "screw' part, and used the other plastic hook to the ski eye, and less than 30 min later, it broke also.

This system is perfectly suited to hold a kayak, in shallow water, on a lake with no wave action going on. It would not hold a 2009 Sea Doo GTI jet ski, in 4'of water off Panama City beach, with gentle, rolling waves. A total waste of money!

3longer rope will make it usefulFeb 20, 2011
By Ahmed Elsawy
i used it for seadoo rxp and i can say "this is a complete wast of money" unless for lakes or beaches where there are no waves at all
any small wave will take it off the sand

update.... i tried a longer rope and it worked great with 10 meters rope it stays in the sand even with medium size waves

I attach it to a freezer bag full of alcohol. Does an excellent job of keeping my liquor from floating away.

We have used these anchors for some time now and they are great. They are small and come with a bag so they are pretty easy to store on the ski's/ Small chop they hold well but you have to check on them.

overall very good product
