Nice and flat, lightweight and sturdy. Oh, and it's RED! Fits an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet with a little room around the edges. Somehow, Saunders had plastic wrap around this item that I can't seem to get the last sticky bits out from under the rivets in the back.

the plastic covering is driving me crazy! I am one of those people who hates when price tags don't come off. In this case the metal clip was added to the item after the black board was wrapped in plastic. It is stuck under there. I even used a razor blade to cut around some of it but the clip works so well and is so tight that there is no way to get under there to even attempt to cut out the plastic. I would have given it 5 stars IF I could have removed all of the packaging.

This is a really nice clip board. It does have a larger clip and holds about an inch of papers tightly. I use this in my kitchen to hold recipe cards and books.
