A+ rod holder. Mounts on a kayak cockpit rim.Jun 15, 2011
By Phil The mount fits a kayak cockpit rim and even will mount at the curve in he front. This rod holder has been great even when big fish wanna move the kayak. I'm gonna buy two more. The mount is not exactly like the picture. It has a thicker profile. It still mounts with the same shape. It is just thicker/bigger than the current picture.

I have 2 of these for use in my Old Town Canoe. We used them on the last trip out and everything they advertise is true. Very solid and sturdy. Easy to retrieve rods quickly. Quick to put on and take off. Rust prof hardware. I love them and I am already adding more of their products to my canoe.

Need Spacers for Kayak MountJul 21, 2011
By Edward W Grainger I was very pleased with the rugged construction of this clamp mount rod holder. But to obtain a more secure grip on my kayak's cockpit rim, I purchased some thick wall, approx. 1 inch diameter tubing to use as spacers between the clamp and the kayak rim. This provides more surface area for the clamp to hold and it protects the cockpit rim from possibly breaking from the force of the clamp.
