Versatile, but I'd like even moreMay 19, 2012

I use these bags to hold jewelry that might tarnish. Slip a bit of anti-tarnish paper in the bag and you don't have to constantly clean the items. With matching pieces, I use a small bag for the earrings and drop it in a larger bag for the necklace. Since the bags are clear, it's easy to find the items I want. I've also done crafting, and the bags are fine for beads, scraps of thread (but not needles), tailor's chalk and wax. But there's something I'd like to see on these bags: a taller lip over the closure area, with a hole in it, so the bags could be hung on hooks. The way they are now, the zip closure is directly at the top and the only way to store the filled bags is by laying them on a shelf or in a box or drawer. They're very slippery and don't stack at all, which means you have to rummage through them. I can visualize them hanging from hooks on a pegboard - it would be a tremendous time-saver and wonderful for organizing. I hope the manufacturer reads this and takes my suggestion! I thought of punching a hole in that upper lip, but it's too small, and punching a hole in the bag below the closure would negate the point of the bag.

I'm very pleased with these little bags. The interior dimensions of the bag are exactly 3x4 and they have a nice thickness to them that will be somewhat durable. The zip seal closes well enough to stay closed, but it is not too difficult to open them either. My main reason for buying these was because I only needed about 75 bags, and nearly all the other Amazon listings for bags in this size were cases of 500 or 1000, which would have been a terrible waste because I would have never used them all. If you need a small quantity of clear plastic bags at a good price, these are for you! Good product.

I placed this order on Oct 8th for a mission trip to leave on Oct 20th. When I placed the order, it was to receive by standard shipping within 6 days. After the order was placed, it was not shipped for several days. I did not receive this by Oct 20th. Do not order and expect to receive within 2 weeks. This is bad service.
