This is a great product to use for bilge ventilation. I, being a stubborn bugger, decided to use it to vent my solar battery bank because it was 1/4 the price of a "battery bank" vent fan.
My bad. This fan cannot stand up to the acidic carryover in the air it vents. The fan lasted less than a year.
I am a marine engineer and have seen these fans in use all over the world. They work great for what they're designed to be used for. Don't be a bonehead and try to be creative like me.

I used this blower for a blower on my G-Scale model railroad, and it is excellent for removing leaves and twigs from the track.
