By kilo It is faster than you can run! Hope your pool is large enough!
It is a blast, didn't want to give it to my kid. Worth the money!

Followed the instructions and charged the battery for about 2 hours or so. The boat ran really well and pretty much flew. Our pool is 35x17 feet so there's a lot of quick turns. This will probably run well on a lake. We wanted to get some pool usage during the cold weather and this is a great alternative for our daughter. I'll bet getting another one so playmates (like Dad and Mom) can have fun as well ;-)

By Megatech h2o Very fun and durable boat. It's hilarious watching A 9 inch boat go 15 mph! Definitely recommended As a first starter boat.
This boat SUCKS!Apr 27, 2009
By Daniel Axelrad I have a lot of experience with all types of r/c models and this was a massive disappointment!
The boat arrived dead. I charged up the battery, installed everything per the instructions ... and nothing functioned; no motor, no rudder (it did float so I guess I should be thankful for that much).
[...]
I did get the boat to run by replacing the radio with one of my own[...]. Here are my notes on how the boat finally ran.
1. Battery life, advertised at 15 minutes, is optimistically more like 8 (I got only two lengths of a backyard swimming pool before the boat started slowing down quite noticeably). 2. There's no reverse (this boat has a forward only speed controller that needs to be initialized every time you plug in the battery). 3. I had serious bouncing issues, where the boat would porpoise, not settling into a plane. Again I followed the instructions, trying various locations for the battery, to no avail.
The bottom line... this thing wouldn't ahve been worth the [...] I paid for it ... if it had actually worked out of the box. Save your $$ and buy something else preferably (for your sanity) from another manufacturer.
