I recently bought three different sizes of these frames after a really enthusiastic recommendation from some great people in the Crafts Forum. They are fantastic. So easy to put together and to put your work in. Such a simple but clever idea. Lay your work over the assembled plastic frame tubing and then snap on the metal grips. Once on they can be rotated to tighten the peice of work. There's no wrinkling or stretching and its very lightweight but strong. Very highly recommended.

I was introduced to Q Snaps by a co-worker eight years ago and I have never gone back to hoops. Q Snaps are user and AIDA cloth friendly, come in many different sizes and can be taken apart and used to construct a new frame in whatever size you need. Unlike most hoops, Q Snaps don't leave behind crimping marks on your cloth and you don't have to loosen or take the whole thing off to tighten your fabric.

I love my q-snaps! Unless I'm working on a tiny, tiny piece, I don't even use hoops anymore. While it's true they don't hold as tightly as hoops, the tension is easy to adjust. And since I like working on odd sized pieces, I'll combine the 11" frames with the 14" frames to get an 11"x14" frame. I've combined all of the different sizes and the one I use most is 11"x17" because a stitcher's eighth (a piece of fabric 13"x18") fits perfectly. These frames are so light weight. They are much lighter than a similar sized hoop or scroll frame. So pleased with this product!!

I recently started working on a crazy quilt block that is larger than I normally work on so I started looking at hoops for it and remembered the recommendations for Q-Snaps I've heard. I saw the 17x17 and bought it, I sure am glad I did! It is perfect and holds my block in the shape that it was made...square! So I don't have to pinch my fabrics trying to hoop sections now or cut the corners with a round hoop. If I would have known I would love the Q-Snaps so much I would have tried one sooner. I just bought a couple other sizes for other projects I work on.
They work differently than a normal hoop but I enjoy it, the tension is good and I love how I can tighten or loosen by just rolling the clamps forwards or backwards.
