I recently bought three different sizes of these frames after a really enthusiastic recommendation from some great people in the Crafts Forum. They are fantastic. So easy to put together and to put your work in. Such a simple but clever idea. Lay your work over the assembled plastic frame tubing and then snap on the metal grips. Once on they can be rotated to tighten the peice of work. There's no wrinkling or stretching and its very lightweight but strong. Very highly recommended.

True to the statement that it does not leave creases in your projects. Not good for smaller projects because the size is not adjustable. Material is not held as tight as when using a hoop. I actually purchased a hoop to replace it.

I have been doing cross stitch projects for 20 years, and this is the best frame I have ever used. I started with hoops like most people. They work fine, but can crack and, after some time, the fabric needs to be re-stretched because it begins to sag. Someone suggested I try the scroll frames. Perhaps it's me, but I could not get them to work properly. I found them too difficult. By chance, I came upon the Q-Snap Lap Frame and took a chance. I'm very glad I did. It was easy to assemble and held the fabric tight without leaving marks. When the fabric began to sag after working with it for a while, all I had to do was turn the clamps a bit to tighten it. I can't recommend this enough.

The Q-snap frame still leaves marks on the fabric, maybe just not as bad as a hoop. But I do like how tight it holds the fabric and it is easy to pull the fabric taut. It is kind of hard to pull the clips off when you're done.

I love my Qsnap! The very BEST thing is that it doesn`t leave any dents in my fabric that hoops do. I have the 8" and will be getting the 6" for smaller projects. Wonderful product.
