We used this megaphone at our week long church camp and it worked fantastic! We woke the kids each morning with it and used it throughout the days to announce various activities. Also worked great at the beach to get the kids attention when necessary. I highly recommend this product. I am extremely satisfied!

Must Have Megaphone For An Outdoor EventSep 14, 2011

The Pyle-Pro is a must have for your outdoor event. Our event was outdoor with over 600 people, who were spread out over a 1500+ feet lake front area. We used the megaphone for announcements and due to the handy USB playback function, our crowd could enjoy music at the event. This saved us the expense and effort of having to set up our expensive audio equipment outdoors.
We purchased the 12 pack of Kodak C batteries online at Amazon for $7.00 per box to put in the unit. They worked great and we did not change the batteries at all during the event.
Here are 4 ideas to help you have a great experience with the Megaphone:
1)Use a flash drive which doesn't have a retractable USB. If you try to use one with a retractable USB, it will not stay stationary and your music will not play.
2)Record your music in MP3 format on the USB you are planning to use.
3)Use the strap which comes with the megaphone. Once the batteries are inside the megaphone, it can feel weighty.
4)Have fun!
Everyone using the megaphone were amazed at how well it sounded and totally impressed that it had a USB port.
If you are looking for a megaphone, this is well worth the $50.

This is one of those items I've had sitting in my cart for 6 months and I finally bought it due to a price drop. The device works pretty well but, it's made a little cheap especially the retractable microphone which resembles those cheap little army figure guys plastic quality. Another complaint is the actual button on the grip handle that activates the voice... the button doesn't always press correctly.
Overall it's nice and load and it works as advertised but, I just expected a little better manufacturing quality.
