Replaced Crafstsman Pro gaugeOct 03, 2011

My Craftsman professional compressor gauge started to leak air making it run non-stop. I contacted Sears about a replacement gauge. It was backordered until December. I was like "WTF? 8+ other compressors use the same regulator and you don't have ANY in stock?" Nope. And $45 part through sears to boot!! Ordered this and it was delivered next day THANKS PRIME!!! Installed and it works perfectly. In fact it holds the air pressure to the tool more accurately than the craftsman regulator. Half the price, double the results!!!

Don't buyFeb 27, 2012
By speigs Bought it, received fast. The valve leaked where you adjust pressure. Took it apart and it looks like the o-ring was too small and didn't seal the bore. Maybe the poor china worker they had assembling them was having a bad day. Should have known not to buy.

Defective???Jan 31, 2012
By Hammer19 The regulator looks well made but unfortunately it will not release an even amount of air. I set it at 120 PSI and within seconds of using an air tool the line bleeds down to 60 PSI. After stopping the air tool the regulator fills the air line within several seconds back to 120 PSI.
It's not an issue with the air compressor, as it's a 33 gallon with enough CFM to run that tool none stop. Replaced this regulator with original Craftsman inline regulator and I did not have an issue with the PSI depleting and I was able to run the same tool without an issue none stop for the rest of my project. Too bad OEM regulator costs twice as much as this Viair regulator. Maybe I got a bad one or maybe this is just a poor product. Too bad I was looking forward to saving a few bucks.

Much smaller than it looks but works great.Jan 05, 2012
By kadunkadunk I installed it on my shop line and it seems to be doing well. It is much smaller than it looks. I don't think I would have bought it had I known it was so small. It supports 10 separate lines regulating 150 psi down to 110 psi. It makes no noise, which is why it gets 4 stars. One thing I had to do was take it apart and adjust the spring screw to get it to regulate. I almost gave up and returned it as it was not working out of the box. Once working, it met my needs.
