Wrong sword Edit: Got it, Love it!Aug 09, 2011

Was looking forward to getting this sword but it finally came and the box was open, huge, and not well padded. Oh and it was not even close to being the right sword. I got a CAS Zatoichi and can only assume it was the cheapest one they make. The Habaki was loose and the weight was all wrong. That being said I have no idea since there is absolutely no documentation with the sword. Anyway it goes back tomorrow and hope that amazon ships another overnight to me, I am really not happy right now.
Edit: 2 days later, Amazon finally got it right. Now I can review this sword. First let me say that the packaging was better. It came in just a tube and the sword was in a really cheap katana bag, I think it is made from nylon or some other junk. Once I got the sword out of the tube and the bag I was shocked at how big it was! Then I noticed the weight and it is heavy. It was obvious that this sword was made to cut through heavy objects and that is why I bought it. Sword cutting test: Water bottles - with easy, A+; piece of paper - not really, have to get it started and it can sort of do it - D; Beach mats - not easily but not that hard either, I am certain that once I practice more and get use to the weight of this sword the cuts will become easier - A-.
Last and least important if you are buying this sword, it is UGLY, I mean really really ugly. Its also obvious that CAS knows that people who buy this don't care about looks. even the Saya was a little beat up when I got it, and I already mentioned that it comes in a katana bag that I wouldn't carry my hockey sticks in.
Overall this sword is exactly what you are looking for in a low cost cutter and really you need to embrace the ugly, be at one with it.
Final words: Its fat, Its ugly, It will cut through anything.
