 Great small center channel speakerMar 24, 2010

This small center channel speaker speaker sounds great considering its size. I couldn't believe the difference it made to the clarity of dialogue on tv shows and movies. I chose this speaker because it is very small and fits perfectly underneath my 42" LCD on my tv stand without getting in the way. It is very unobtrusive and one hardly notices it's there. If you are looking for a nicely designed unobtrusive speaker with excellent sound quality, this is the speaker for you.

The Polk RM7C is a decent little speaker. It is identical to the center included in the Polk RM75 or RM705 series and performs ok considering its small size. The drivers aren't very large but regardless of that, Polk somehow made the most of what is used. The construction is sound and it's aesthetically pleasing. You are given the option to wall mount with brackets or if you would prefer there is an included stand which allows you to balance the speaker wherever you wish to place it. Speaker level connections use clips, not banana plugs.
Will this unit be preferred amongst home theater enthusiasts? Most definitely not. What this center channel does bring you is a decent sound in a very small speaker(And at a good price, especially when coupled with one of polk's RM packages). Those looking to add a HT setup to their house will be very pleased with this center. Even if you wish to upgrade over a built-in TV speaker this center channel would be more than adequate. An average speaker overall, but probably much better than the similarly priced competition(if you buy in package).

This speaker is smaller than the one I had to replace (new 52 inch LCD sits too low and was obscured by my larger Polk center speaker) but it still projects a marvelous sound presence that is not buried by the larger right and left speakers. This was an easy solution that did not include replacing all of my speakers.

"The German"
Before I had a heavy and big Heco center speaker that I loved soundwise, but that became an eyesore in the living having to live in front of the fire place. The new polk lives now on the TV base, my wife did not even notice it at the first glance. It sounds great with my Denon Receiver, I did not even notice the change of channel speakers.

Hefty little speaker. Good looking, good sound for small size. Unobtrusive -small enough to fit in front of screen on cabinet - without blocking screen.
