DisappointingDec 03, 2009
By S. Smith I bought this program in hopes it would be a piano teacher for me at home. Unfortunately, it kept shutting down every time I clicked on a tutorial video. It said "error, must shut down". I emailed the company, at the website listed, but they never responded. I returned it to the store where I bought it. Another problem with this program was that it seemed to assume you aspired to play in a band. I don't. I just want to learn to play the piano. So, any instruction I was able to access was from a "band" point of view.

A Fine Well Thought Out Software ProgramApr 13, 2008
By M. Spencer I especially like the steps that are taken to learn each piece. The tempo control puts the user in the drivers seat, and the looping function allows the future virtuoso the ability to master the more difficult measures. This program takes nothing for granted and gives more than is expected.

Can't review, because of poor Midi/Keyboard specsJan 25, 2009
By shawn After lots of research I settled on this piano learning software to learn to use my Midi keyboard better while learning to play piano. I specifically chose this software because of it's listing as working interactively with Midi and having Midi practice tracks. While I had no trouble getting it to recognize notes coming from my Midi input, no sound or anything useful was happening. Then I found in the help files that it does not generate sound through your PC, and that sound must be provided by your keyboard. Midi keyboards do not generate sound, they just generate Midi. What they should have been very careful to say is it will work with Midi output from your keyboard, but you MUST have a keyboard with sound and not just a Midi keyboard. Also, I don't know what they mean by interactive because other than a test screen showing what notes I am playing on my keyboard there is nothing in the software I can find that uses my keyboard. At some point I may find a system of running other software in the background to generate sound while getting this to recognize my Midi input, but so far I have not been able to get this to work in a way that makes it worth the CD is is copied on.
