Description:

Keep the music playing with Pioneer's PD-F407 25-disc CD player. The slot-loading changer helps you organize and get creative about how you listen. In addition to its standard features (play, repeat, 32-track programming), the PD-F407 has a few that are more unusual--and perfect for a CD jukebox. "Best play" is a one-touch trick that lets you commit any 15 tracks to the PD-F407's memory. Just hit the BEST button while a track is playing and the player will automatically store that track in memory. Later, on hitting "best play," the unit will play back all 15 tracks in sequence. Another cool feature is "previous-disc scan," which simply plays the opening ten seconds of the last 15 discs played. The PD-F407 also lets you create up to 3 custom files, or groups, with no limit to the number of CDs in each file. This is a terrific way to file discs by genre or by favorite artist. When you hit play after having hit stop or turned the unit off, it will begin playing the last disc before shutdown. What's more, your programmed sequences are preserved even when powering down thanks to Pioneer's memory hold feature. Select random playback to let the player choose selections from among all 25 discs, from a single disc, or from a designated "custom" file. A "Hi-Lite" button plays a 10-second portion of the first track on each disc. There are also many variations on all of these programmable features, depending upon what mode you are using at the time.

25-disc playback with rolling rack file-storage system

Previous-disc scan (up to 15 discs) helps you locate a recently heard selection you want to hear again

3 "Custom Mode" files let you group CDs by genre, artist, or other personal criteria for grouping your discs

3Great play but.....Jan 13, 2006

The PD-407 is an awesome disc changer but there is one major item that could be there and should. A Remote. This model is not supplied with a remote there is a brother version of it that is the PD-507 and badabing it has a remote so if you plan on using the PD-407 with a Pioneer reciever which has a control out jack then it is for you but if you do not have that or do not feel like getting up to make your selections manually then go with the big brother version the PD-507. But overall for the buck dollars this product is worth it.

4A Good BuyNov 19, 2006

For the money this has proved to be a very nice CD Player, certainly better than the 5 disc changer it replaced. A few moire features would be nice, like reading the CD names into the display. With 25 CD's it's hard to keep track of what is where, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money so really can't complain. If you want lots of features this probably isn't for you, but if like me you just want more music variety without constantly changing CD's this is well worth the money.

5Pioneer F-407 25disk CD PlayerNov 04, 2006
By Ron Zellmer "The Milkman"
The machine works flawlessly. The sound is good and the ease of operation is excellent.I have loaded it with 25 disks and just hit random and it plays forever with NO repeats. The only drawback is that there is no remote, but when set on random this is not a factor. This is an excellent machine at a great price. Go for it.

4Its OK!Feb 21, 2006

This is a low end juke-box style CD changer. My Pioneer 6 disc changer died after 15 years and I needed a low budget replacement. The features are really nice like being able to set up categories and have it randomly play from the categories or have it play all CD's randomly. The biggest down fall it there is not an option to do the CD-cassette deck synchro. But for a low budget CD changer it is pretty nice!!

4No repeat random play.Jun 08, 2007
By Thomas Timmins "t-square"
If you love to load this thing with 25 of your favorite CD's and hit "random" knowing that it won't play the same song twice, then this is the machine for you. I owned one of these for 7 years, used it constantly, usually on random. When it finally gave out I was thrilled that it was still available to repurchase new. How many electronics can you say that about these days? I highly recommend it, and all for less than $100.00.
