Love these birds!May 06, 2006
By A. Lucey Great toy, educational for the whole family. Bird calls are very accurate, and easily recognizable when outside in "the real world." My 2-year-old knows more birds than I do!

WOODPECKER plush birdJan 16, 2011

My Grandson LOVES birds. For his birthday I gave him 5 different plush birds - all with their own "bird song call" inside. He loves holding them & hearing their individual sounds.
Great itemFeb 05, 2012
By Gertie I bought this as a gift for my dad, who gets pileated woodpeckers at his suet feeder. He loves it! He kept making the bird sound off and then would comment, "I didn't know that's what they sounded like. I've definitely heard them before." Really neat item for a bird lover or anyone curious about birds.
Just beware-- it only makes one noise so if you give it to a child who constantly pushes the button, it could get pretty annoying!
Good woodpecker!Jan 12, 2012
By Artgrrl For some very strange reason, my 2 year old developed a phobia of woodpeckers!! She saw one outside pecking on a dead tree, and after that, I had to check her room for her every night to be sure there were no woodpeckers in there! I was at my whit's end with this, so Santa brought her this woodpecker and put it in her stocking. She LOVES it! She uses it to scare away the imaginary bears in her room now (I guess we're in the imagination phase of development!) The bird call sounds just like the ones we hear in the woods, and she can make it come on any time she wants, so she feels in control...or something...until the raccoon phobia starts.
stuffed woodpecker reviewApr 16, 2009
By P. Crush My 4yr.old grandson wanted a stuffed woodpecker with a hard beek. This was the best option I could find. And it sings. Thought it was worth the price and he was happy with it.
