4Very good way to play your PSP on a larger screenJan 09, 2009
By John M. Royston
These cables do a pretty good job of exporting PSP images to your HDTV (remember it needs to be an hdtv with progressive mode enabled). The image is shrunk a little bit (it fills about 85% of your screen instead of the whole thing) but even if you have a 32 inch LCD like I do, it still looks pretty good. The image isn't 100% what you normally see on your PSP and does show some graininess/pixelation but it's not too terrible. It was nice having a 27/28 inch image with sound output through the TV so if this is what you're looking to do, go with these cables!

5Works as expected, and priced as expected.Jul 21, 2008

In order to play games from a psp slim on your tv you will need a set of component cables like these. Of course your tv must also accept progressive scan, usually meaning you will need an HD tv.

The cables feel like quality, and all connectors are securely attached to the cable end. The cable itself is 12 feet long and about half a centimeter in width (~ 3/16").

As far as operation goes, everything seems fine. Except, there seems to be a slight double image. I am unable to determine whether this is caused by the cable, tv, or psp. But, this double imagine is so slight it basically doesn't matter.

Assuming you output progressive video through these cables, there should be basically no lag. At least, if there is lag, I have been unable to notice.
(In interlaced mode there is lag.)

As far as I can tell, even if you have a video encoded at 720x480 on the psp it will still be outputted to the tv as 480p.

Cables work like expected, and are priced right. I can't think of any reason not to buy these cables.

4Good 3rd party productJan 19, 2010
By Robert Hadley
So me and my brother-in-law went to a local game store to find us a component cable for his PSP so he can play Monster Hunter on his 42" HDTV and we found this one, which was only $15. We were both skeptical that since most 3rd party products usually fail within the next day or so, but we bit the dust and gave it a try, and boy we were amazed. Video quality was almost crystal-clear, so was audio, but the thing that pestered us the most was when you start up a UMD game, the screen size shrinks to the natural size. We've try looking through the manual, no help there. We've also tried changing the zoom settings on the TV, still nothing. I'm not sure if its the cable that did this or if it's meant to do that. For now, it's not a big deal since the TV is fairly big and we can still see it just fine

5THESE are the PSP AV Cables to Get!Jul 28, 2010
By LazerBlader
These component AV cables for the PSP work great and exactly what I was looking for. They've got a great build to them and work flawlessly. But the biggest aspect that makes these surpass Sony's first-party component cables is the length! These Intec cables are 12 feet, a whopping four feet longer than Sony's!

3av cableJun 27, 2009
By Joseph Mcmanus
I just want to let you know that the cable I got is not the cable in the photo. The cord comes out from the side the chip is on and it doesnt fit in my psp. But, now I have a reason to go buy an updated version of the psp and hand the one I have to someone else. Thank you Debra
