Have to buy extra parts to use with any TV less than 20 years old!Jun 06, 2009

It turns out you can use the rabbit ears for VHF(channels 2-12) OR the loop for UHF (channels 13+), but cannot have both hooked up at the same time. If you want to switch, you get your screwdriver, remove the balun connector, hook it up to the other antenna type and plug it back in... Or, as the instructions tell you, purchase a specialty item, NOT INCLUDED, that combines the signals. Seriously?
With what comes in the box, this antenna is made to work with TVs that have separate vhf and uhf inputs... which I beleive went away in the 80s.
yes, it's old garbageMay 21, 2010

i agree with other one star reviewer, the item is antiquated, it's not picking up all the channels.
Works great!Sep 09, 2009
By Snowite I bought this a few weeks ago because the converter box won't work well without an antenna, and was worried when I realized I only had 1 jack on the tv and converter box, but it was no problem! I connected the ohm Transformer to my converter box and get channels 2 to 68 (same channels my friends get). It also dramatically improved the quality of the image I was receiving. I might get the band separator just to see if anything's improved.
