I think some of the past reviewers were confused when they purchased this item and didn't notice that it says "trimmer" in the name. This trimmer will not get you shaved smooth, but will trim your hair down relatively short. It allows you to chose what length you want your bikini area hair to be. It works great! I would recommend this product for any male or female who wants to trim their pubic areas. It is easy to use and painfree.If you are looking for a product that will remove all of the hair I highly suggest the Braun 2370 Silk-epil EverSoft Body System. It has two different interchangeable heads and works as a shaver and as a epil system.

This trimmer is sure to keep your lower pubic area neat and tidy! You can adjust the length, so you have control of how much you trim and how much you keep. It doesn't get you completely bald down there, but since I had read the reviews before purchasing this product I wasn't expecting it to. -For that I would suggest some Skintimate shaving cream and a Mach 3 razor. Oh, and some Bikini Zone as well. I personally prefer to just have mine neat and in order instead of completely shaved and so far this trimmer has kept me from having to deal with razor bumps. Another plus is that it comes with a form showing you how you can order more parts if you need to. The top is adjustable and can come off for shaping up the edges and then it resembles regular hair clippers. (I didn't know about that until I had received it.) Anyway, if you lose that top part or drop it and accidentally step on it or something, you're gonna wanna replace just that part instead of the whole trimmer. It's a little less stressful for me if I know -before I use the product- that if I screw something up, I can just order that particular part. All in all, I'm really glad I purchased this product! *****Special Note About The Product's Color: THIS PRODUCT IS NOT JUST FOR WOMEN. MEN CAN BENEFIT FROM USING THIS TRIMMER, TOO. I'm a woman who likes to stay, how shall I say it?, reletively "tidy." As much as I love staying shorn and bare, I absolutely hate shaving "down there" with a razor -- and as for a Brazillian wax? NO WAY. That's where this little trimmer comes in. It's absolutely ideal for cropping hair relatively close to the skin, and the narrow blade width allows me to get all those delicate nooks and crannies. No, this trimmer will *not* get you completely smooth or as close as a razor -- but you will also NEVER get an ingrown hair or nasty red razorburn from this little hummer. Side note: works great for men's private areas, too!

I bought this product after comparing similar items and reading reviews and this is a great product. My main concern was that as a woman of color, with naturally thicker and courser hair, that this wouldn't work very well. Two weeks later, I'm happy to say that this trimmer works great. It gets very close, but without any pain, irritation or bumps.

My wife and I were looking for a workable solution for the hair down under. While her hair is not thick, it grows long very quickly. She has tried waxing - too painful - and shaving would cause a lot of bumps and irritation, even with the Shick Intutition.
The trimmer is great. Yes, Amazon should take down the photo of the storage pouch. Yes, it won't get you totally smooth or bald. Get a wax or laser removal if you want a total smooth finish. But it is a well built TRIMMER, which is painless and easy to use. You can adjust the length you want, and you can easily work around the more sensitive and intimate southern locations.
Just take it easy around your bits. It's helpful to use a mirror, assuming you're using it alone. It's more fun if you have your partner help. If you want the smooth look, use this handy device before you break out the razor and shaving cream/lotion. It makes it much easier and cuts down on irritation.
You can get creative with styling your pubic hair into shapes and designs. Hey what ever works for you and/or you an your partner. Speaking of which, it works for men too.
