5Works like it shouldJul 15, 2007
By C. Lowder "2001 Ford Taurus"
This does exactly what it was made to do, turns on the headlights at night or when I turn on the wipers. Took a few hours to install myself and I am not a car alarm installer so this is easy to do.

4Very good, not great . . .Oct 15, 2008
By Ernie "Ernie"
I'll admit, I'm sort of picky, but the previous reviewer gave it 5 stars . . . and that's pretty close, so I'll say 4 for a grand total of 4 1/2.

For the price, this is remarkable; I've done the install in a 2003 CR-V and it works as you'd expect it to . . . with some qualifications:
1) You really have to know what you're doing and where you're going inside the vehicle wiring. A HELMS manual (same manual Honda uses) was extremely useful. Most people don't know if it's going to work on high beams, and depending on the manufacturer of your vehicle it may not (only the lows come on automatically)
2) The wiper sensor has no real tolerance; most OEM installs will ignore the washer if it's used, or the first 3 swipes of the wipers. My setup did not allow even for a hack with a timer . . . not a HUGE issue.
3) Path lighting didn't work anyway I did it; I suppose that's vehicle speicific, but I was able to get a PAC-TR7 to do the trick . . .
4) The "off" switch is super low class . . . but you can get one from the parts store that looks better.

Hint for installation:
Relay this to your parking brake so the lights don't come on when you're warming up the vehicle.

Overall, a great buy if you're up to the install. DEI makes a great product and this is no exception.

5Great productJul 27, 2011
By Christophe Paillous
Since I installed it on my Focus, it has been doing a great job.
Works exactly as advertised, so very happy with this purchase.
Easy to install but took me almost 3 hours time to find the right cables going out from the light switch.
Will definitely recommend this item.

5Auto light for 2011 Sienna LEFeb 07, 2011
By bo29
I installed this on my 2011 Toyota Sienna LE. For Toyota Sienna, only the Limite model has autolight. It took me several hours for installation, but it works great. I finally figured out that I only needed to install 3 wires from the light switch and used 1 relay from the kit. Great Kit!

4Automatic headlightsJan 14, 2011

Works as advertised with two concerns. First, no such thing as self-installation unless you're an auto electrician. I gladly paid $75 at a car audio place to do the job. Secondly, many reviews throughout the internet mentioned that you lose high beams when the system is operating. Absolutely true. However, you simply need to turn on the regular headlight switch to recover that function.
