I've owned three pairsAug 12, 2011
By Michael & Heidi Kampe These usually sell for $20-ish. I own three pairs. I get a new pair every year. I don't know if the first reviewer had a defective pair, but I have never experienced shrinking.. I wear these things every day, ALL YEAR LONG! Even in winter! I first found them in the Garden section at Target- they stopped carrying them last year. I was bummed. Extremely comfortable. Very durable. Unbelievably easy to care for- just shine them up with a little Armor-All! These are incredibly more durable then Crocs- I like Crocs except for the stupid heel-strap-rivet-thing. The heel straps broke at that stupid rivet-thing within 30 days on both pairs of those that I have owned. I will never buy another pair of Crocs until they get rid of that stupid "feature". The heel strap has never broken on any of my pairs of Sloggers. My original pair, now 3-1/2 yrs old, is relegated to yard and grubby duty. My newest pair, I wear very day- including to work. Quite simply, each pair represents the best $20 I have ever spent. Period.

Shady Garden ShoesJan 20, 2012
By Thomas C. Sideris
"sid"
Other reviewers have mentioned the fact that, if left in the sun, these shoes will shrink. With that in mind, I ordered a larger size, because I planned to leave them outside. Well, after one morning in Southern California sun, these shoes have shrunk from a very loose fit, to a fit that is so tight that I can no longer easily slip them on, rendering them useless for my needs. In fairness, the manufacturer clearly warns on the packaging not to leave these in the sun. All the same, is it unreasonable to expect to be able to leave garden shoes in the garden? Apparently, yes.

Favorite ShoeSep 18, 2011
By LJS, New York I got these for my husband and he hasn't taken them off. He even wore them to friends BBQ (forgot to change shoes), they tried to make fun of his shoe choice but hey you can't knock them. Very comfortable. They are not as clunky as other clog type garden shoes and are not slippery on the wet grass or mud. Easy to get on and off. Will be ordering a pair for myself.

They ShrinkJul 25, 2011
By Gary Cornell Not recommended. Bought a size 11 and three days later they were a size 9. Called the manufacturer and they said that the shoes should not be exposed to the sun or they will shrink. Are you kidding me? I guess they are good if you want to wear them in the shower.
