I agree, the new bags are impossible to closeMar 13, 2011
By SYS I also have been buying the Kirkland tall kitchen drawstring bags for years. No problems...until recently. The new, improved?, bags are almost impossible to put on my trash receptacles, and even more impossible to close with the drawstrings. What happened?

Excellent Bags!Jun 29, 2009

I have been buying these Kirkland Signature white plastic drawstring trash bags for several years. These bags are 13 gallon volume and measure 2'X 2'3" which is the correct size for tall "kitchen" trash cans. I find them to be strong, sturdily made and an extremely good value.

Mostly good, one major issue...Sep 05, 2009
By Michael Case We've been using these for years. First the good. These bags work great in our SimpleHuman trash can, and I've had no problems with them breaking. They're quite strong in fact and they're a good value for the price. On the negative side, the "kirkland" logo printed on the drawstring rubs off on my hands EVERY DAMN TIME I take the garbage out. Very annoying. If they would just use different ink, or print the logo somewhere else, these would be waste disposal perfection.
Update - 6/23/2010 - Two of the three boxes of this purchased recently have not had the logo on the drawstring. Hopefully this unnecessary "feature" is being phased out.
Update - 3/6/2011 - Never mind, last several boxes have had the printing on the drawstring again. I really wish the manufacturer would leave the logos off.

Bad "improvement"Apr 28, 2011
By Shopparoo Have been buying for many years. But now it's impossible to close the new style bags using the drawstring. I end up trying a knot with the bag, just as if it doesn't have a drawstring at all. Bring back the old style. I will move on to another brand if this is not corrected.

There comes a time for a redesign; however, now is not the time. COSTCO and Kirkland brands, please redesign your redesignSep 05, 2011
By Gene If I knew how terrible the redesign KS kitchen trash liners were going to be, I would have stocked up on the old. As many of you have read, the new KS kitchen liners (white) have a new fitted / unfitted lip, depending on the size of your trash can, but it is difficult to fasten around even standard trash cans. However, this is not the biggest complaint I have with the redesign. There is NO WAY you can load (even half) as much trash without it ripping / tearing vs. the old design. There comes a time to be environmentally conscious, but when trash spills out all over the driveway, sidewalks and eventually into the drain, I don't think the sacrafice on costs and material is worth it. Anyway, I hope they will get around to reading all the bad reviews and working on bringing the old design back or at least a MUCH MORE sturdy redesign.
