Perfect little ancor for using in a kayak. Nice quality and design that folds for storage. Kept my kayak from moving in blue water up in Mainie. Great purchase! Fast shipping.

Seattle Sports Kayak Fishing Anchor Kit from AmazonJan 18, 2012
By Twriton Good for anchoring and fishing. Movable link for maneuvering after you anchor. There is plenty of rigging line to tie the anchor to from both sides of your kayak. There is a long 50 Ft. anchor line; I had no problem anchoring in deep areas of the wild & scenic Loxahatchee River. In the Indian River of Florida, I encountered sand and had to cast the anchor several times before it would catch. However, with the right bottom conditions it will work (i.e. rocky, etc.) on the first toss. It is excellent for slow moving current and non-windy days. Also, it has a circular slide clamping ring for storage that sometimes slides over the folding anchor prongs, rendering them unusable, until it is retrieved and thrown in again. Additionally, if you do not rig your kayak for anchor maneuverability, you could be risking yourself in rapid currents & tides but that is true for all anchors, therefore the extra rigging line, carabiners and sliding hoop are provided. Good for inflatable kayakAug 03, 2011
By Larry Miles There are no sharp edges, so it works great with an inflatable kayak. They are very very generous with the rope, at least for my needs. That said, I typically bring in water 10 feet or less, so you be the judge of rope needs.
I'm happy with my purchase.
Held our inflatable kayak just fineMay 20, 2012
By Roger L. Koopmann We purchased an two person inflatable kayak to take with us to Bali on vacation. We got this anchor kit as well and used it a couple times. It held beautifully and has long enough line to be useful. It is light (don't need a lot of weight to hold 40 lb. inflatable) and stores nicely in its own pouch.
Great Kayak Anchor to haveMay 02, 2012
By ChicagoSketches Very nice folding, compact anchor in its pouch. Easy to deploy, plenty of rope length and the hook up buckle and ring are handy to use it from a kayak. Easy to carry around and I gladly use it a lot.
