This snugly holds your kestrel and lets air get in so that the barometric pressure, humidity, and temperature will update periodically as you configure your unit.
It's molle compatible (if you don't know molle then google that)
While it holds the kestrel snugly it does not hold the weather vane assembly, which anyone using it for a military application would want close by. Ironically the weathervane zipper case is not much bigger but holds that all important fin assembly and collapsable rod to stow in the case. I do wish it would pack my weather system, but then again I need to pack my small tripod too, so I may find a molle case for the tripod / weather vane.
The tag inside has no NSN number and just says made by kestrel, but its up to standards.

Case is very over priced for what it is. You can buy a military case that is much better built for 14.99 and have a choice of colors. The case doesn't even have a snap for the molloe strap on the back and would most likely fall off during tactical or battle use. Stay away from it!
