I had high hopes for this item. But like with most things in life, you get what you pay for.
First off, this AC adapter is not only specifically for NES, it has the SNES plug on it too, that's cool and all...maybe useful for some. The problem is the adapter is rated at 10v, which might have been okay if that's what the actual output was. My multimeter says its outputting just over 15v though! The NES does not like this, it constantly emits a humming noise through the TV speaker. I ended up buying a 9v 1000ma adapter from the second hand store and it works perfectly.
I do not recommend buying this product for the NES.

I bought the NES from a flea market but needed an adapter for it. I searched ebay and amazon and this was the best deal on one. It Works great and I would recommend to anyone

When my adapter arrived it was actually open - the two pieces don't fit together entirely and there's a corner of it that's always slightly ajar, letting air (or anything else) inside the unit. If I had any faith about the construction of this piece I'd get a replacement, but the whole thing seems so cheaply made that I'd rather just find a different product and throw this one in the garbage. On the plus side...it did actually work for the short time I used it.

No need to fear!! AC Adapter is here!!!...To replace your actual NES AC Adapter. I love my AC Adapter it saved me when i found out my NES didn't come with one. This is the BEST AC adapter you could get!!!

The AC adapter was shipped really fast in about 2-3 days and the condition was used but worked perfectly nothing wrong nor any power source shocks.Glad i came across this product and purchased it :D plugged in and ready to play my SNES and classic games!!
