3Shaft not long enoughMay 20, 2009
By Robert R. Hatch
Looks like a nice quality lock, but it is not long enough for many of the newer receivers. Not specs provided on the shaft length to enable buyers to determine till it arrives. e.g. it is not long enough for Tundra and some Ford receivers. Tri Max makes an SXT5 which is 1/2" longer and will fit.

5Top Notch Product!May 13, 2007
By Dan Huse
I expected quality with Master Lock, and that is what I got. This product is not only effective, it is also very attractive compared to the ugly pins that are usually seen on hitches. I liked it so much I decided to buy another one. I would recommend this item to anybody who wants to secure their load.

5Great hitch receiver lockFeb 18, 2009
By J. Allgood
Master Lock is always a name you can trust when it comes to locks. In this particular case, this lock actually did not fit my application. (Warning for you Tacoma, Tundra, and some Ram trucks.. this model won't fit your vehicle.. it is about .5" too short). I actually contacted Master Lock and they straightened everything out with a replacement model that does fit correctly. Master Lock's customer service gets this a 5 star rating!

4Works great, but not on all bike racksAug 29, 2011
By Kona408
I bought this lock for a Curt Manufacturing 13594 Class III 2" Receiver with a 5/8" hole and it fits fine for a hitch cover, but does not fit my Allen Deluxe 4-Bike Hitch Mount Rack as the lock is too large in diameter. So instead I had to use the no-wobble bolt supplied with the bike rack which doesn't lock. If you intend to use this lock with a bike rack, be sure that the bike rack has a 5/8" hole in the receiver arm. You might even need to check with the maufacturer of the bike rack for the specs.

Otherwise, the lock works great for the hitch cover.

4WaterproofJul 21, 2010
By Brad Beachdell
Shaft of pin has a round rubber washer intended to seal water out of the internal locking mechanism. The rubber washer is too big for it's intended purpose and therefore gets caught and wedged improperly in the mechanism when installing keylock on shaft, thereby defeating intended purpose. Haven't yet found, but intend to look for smaller washer at hardware store to replace OEM.
