I purchased these speakers to round out my surround system and get full 7.1 sound. They are the perfect addition to my existing Pioneer Elite SG-05 receiver and Infinity speakers. Their versatile mounting system enabled me to locate them exactly where I wanted them and they sound great with my existing set-up. Usually my wife is somewhat ambivalent to the changes I make to our home theater system but she noticed the difference immediately. If you're looking for small, affordable and great sounding speakers to complete your surround system, I would highly recommend the HKS-9's.

I wish I had looked into the mounting options for this speaker before I bought it. The mount that comes with it allows you to rotate the speakers left and right, but there is no ability to tilt them down or up. There is only one place to screw into the speaker and it's a single screw on the bottom....make sure you look around to see if you can find a mount that can actually screw into it. All in all I'm frustrated with the setup. I bet they would look sweet if I just had them sitting on a shelf, but I don't.
The sound quality appears to be fine, but I need to make some adjustments because they are being overpowered by the rest of the system at this point. If the power adjustments don't work, then maybe they are too weak to keep up.

Bought these for a home theatre install i was doing for a guy. He wanted a wall mount style speaker, that wasn't to big and sounded good. I don't think we could have found a better speaker. I was very impress with the sound quality of them for their size. The room is 14x20 and they fill the whole room. We tested the setup and tuned it with Blackhawk Down and it sounded like we were right in the middle of the movie.
You wont be disappointed.

I got these speakers until I can afford a full set of home theaters. I hooked up just the two satelites. The sound is just amazing. I can imagine the sound with the center, sub and surrounds.

I am using these as the surrounds and back surrounds for a 7.1 system and the fronts are Aperion 6B's and a 6C. At first I was worried about the HK's not being able to hang, but they are not being overpowered at all (I'm like 90/10 movies to music). They would be a little weak for music, but for the price you can't beat them. The wall mounting is a little rough, but it's a pretty clean look when you are finished. Overall, I would recommend these speakers as a great value.
