3Mostly Good - Very Bad Bowl DesignAug 05, 2011
By SandyLynn Dickinson
Ok... there are several things I really like about this food processor: I love the huge 14-cup bowl & the wide opening. I love how simple it is to use/assemble/disassemble. I love the suction-cup feet, so it stays put. I love that it is a nice-looking unit & looks great sitting out on the countertop.
My one big complaint is the design of the bowl: the center hole in the bowl (where the attachment spike goes) is LAME!!! Yes, the bowl is a 14-cup bowl, but the center hole is only 1-1/2" tall... so if you are making something juicy like salsa, it will pour right out thru the hole & go all over your counter! I actually had to pick the entire unit up (with the bowl & blade in place) & pour out the contents that way. It's a design flaw... if the bowl is 5" tall, why wouldn't they make the center hole 4 or 5" tall also?? I don't get it....

5Great for my needsApr 02, 2010

I got this mainly to do salsa and I love that it fits everything I need right in through the openings. It comes with 3 blades for different styles, cleans up amazingly easy by hand or is dishwasher safe. I love the suction cups on the bottom to keep it from sliding. I also love the capacity, it holds a lot of stuff so I don't have to stop, empty it and start up again. It's a little loud on medium and high speed, but I only use it for short times so it doesn't bother me. I've had this for a little over a month now and am very pleased.

5So easy to use AND cleanDec 12, 2010

I was using a very cheap food processor before this one, and so, honestly, anything is going to seem amazing in comparison, but I was VERY impressed with this.

First, it's BPA free. This is HUGE on my priorities, since I cook for my toddler, and more recently my unborn baby :)

Secondly, it works great! I've only used a couple of it's functions so far, but I can just tell by looking at the other attachments that I shouldn't have a problem using them either. I may come back and reaffirm this after I have, but chances are I'll forget :) I've used it for soup, purees, and a few other things, and have been pleasantly surprised each time with exactly what I wanted it to do. It has ample room for mixing, and the parts are amazingly easy to put together and take apart, as well as wash.

I also love that it has a little hole that you can shove the excess chord back up into when not in use, as well as suction cups to hold it down! It's not too loud either. My 3 year old is very sensitive to loud noises, and while it is loud, and I do have to tell her before I turn it on, she isn't "freaked out" by it the way she was with our old one.

With all things, it isn't perfect. While pureeing some mango and banana the other day, a couple of pieces of mango floated to the outside and the top, and I needed to stop and push them towards the middle so they would blend. Honestly, I would expect most food processors to do this. It was only a piece or two, not the end of the world.

Other than that, no "problems" whatsoever. We love it!

5It works better, and for less moneyJul 08, 2011

I bought this item a few months ago after researching which food processors have the best features, and the best customer reviews.
For the price this is one of the best.
The food processor I had prior was a smaller, high priced Cuisinart which stopped working
for no good reason.
I have to say, this food processor is much better than my old one.
It's sturdy and easy to clean.
The 525-watt motor makes all the difference in the world, as most food processors in this price range only have a 500-watt motor.
I've had no problems figuring out how to use the blades and settings as each blade is clearly marked in etched in print which blade it for what.
It handles everything with ease including french fries.
I've found the french fries slice much better if I stand up the potato lengthwise rather than placing on their side.
I've also used it to make banana bread, shred cheese, make smoothies, dips, slice vegetables, It does it all.
I've had no problem with this item and it looks great sitting on my counter top.

1Stupid bowl and blade designMay 19, 2011
By Rhonda Lampton "Crafty Mom"
Unless I'm doing something stupid...I don't understand why the tall shaft is up the middle of the bowl, which the blade fits down over. Here's what happens when you are done processing, you are supposed to remove the blade off that tall shaft before removing the bowl from the base...#1, that's tough to do when you have a bowl full of stuff to reach into to grab a sharp blade and remove it! #2, when you do lift the bowl off, everything drains down through the large hole in the bottom of the bowl where the blade fit on...and even if you don't remove the blade first, there is still a hole at the top of the blade where it fits down over that stupid tall shaft. (most processors have a solid top of the blade shaft which seals everything in until you are ready to dump. REALLY REALLY stupid design. I'm returning what would have been an acceptable kitchen tool...but what good is a 14 cup bowl, if you can only fill it up to the top of the blade to avoid losing everything on the counter and making a mess?
