Description:

The No/No Finch Feeder has a green and black finish and doesn't contain any wood or plastic! Each opening in the metal mesh sidewalls becomes a seed station for birds using the No/No Finch Feeder. The largest amount of feeding surface in the bird feeder industry! The feeder holds approximately two pounds of nyjer (thistle) seed. The unique baffle device helps keep feed at upper levels instead of letting then run "dry" as birds deplete the seed. This means more birds at breakfast, lunch, and supper. It ends the fighting over just a few feeding windows. When filled with nyjer seed, the time-tested mesh housing will attract finches, chickadees, nuthatches, juncos, and other clingers, perchers and trough-feeding birds. The all-metal No/No Finch Feeder was developed by birders who know wild birds and the people who feed them. It's a no-nonsense technical upgrade from traditional tube feeders...sturdy yet stylish, with an attractive shape and colorful design. Hang or post-mount your feeder. The roof and tray easily detach for refilling or cleaning. Feeds up to 15 birds at a time and the wire mesh design helps protect against avian diseases!

5great nyjer feederJul 26, 2009
By Steve Kowal
This is a fantastic feeder. The mesh is solid and chew proof and the mesh is too fine for large birds and squirrels to use, so you only find small songbirds on this feeder. Both the top and bottom come off for easy filling or cleaning, but attach firmly so that squirrels cannot get inside. One of the most clever aspects of this feeder is that, as it empties, the nyjer seed stays distributed vertically within the feeder so that birds can feed along the entire height of the feeder right up until the point that it is empty. I've seen eight birds on this simultaneously, but the comfortable limit seems to be five birds. Even though this feeder has birds feeding on it most of the day, I've only needed to refill it every 5 weeks.

5Best nyger/finch feeder I've ever had!Dec 09, 2009
By K. Creveling
I am a bird-feeding "nut" and this is by far the best nyger/finch feeder I've ever tried. The finches find it easy to cling to (sparrows don't seem to like it ;-). It is easy to fill, holds a lot of seed, and is very sturdy. I use it in conjuction with a weather dome, so the seed doesn't get wet.

5Wish I'd found these years agoFeb 23, 2011

I now own 3 of these finch feeders and would never use a different one. I love the metal construction. The birds instantly started feeding from these as soon as they were hung. I have finches, chickadees, juncos, woodpeckers and even sparrows at these. They are easy to fill, and easy to clean. I have had other tube feeders that break or have the holes pecked out, that will not happen with these. A great product.

4Well Designed But Doesn't Hold Much ThistleSep 28, 2010
By David Altekruse
This is one of six bird feeders in my yard. It is popular with finches although they prefer my larger thistle feeder perhaps because there is less room for them on this one. I like the design of this. The baffles hold thistle at different locations. As the feed gets lower, there is still feed distributed around the tube which lets more birds eat at the same time. I also like that the thistle can be loaded from either the top or the bottom. This feed is well built and should last many years. What I don't like about this feeder, however, is that it doesn't hold very much thistle. I have to fill it up twice a week. (My much larger thistle feeder only has to be refueled every couple weeks or so.) Another minor issue is that the angular sides increases the amount of bird droppings that land there. If they made this feeder larger, maybe with more baffles and straight sides, this would be my favorite finch feeder.

5Feeder is a hitJan 16, 2011
By mildredeva
The feeder is a hit with the birds! Its easy to refill. We like the mesh style since it holds up better than the clear tube models, birds don't seem to peak it apart. This feeder not only feeds multiple Goldfinches at one time but also multiple other variety of birds and they seem to be happily sharing simultaneously. The tray at the bottom also catches seed and allows the Mourning Doves and Juncos a place to perch and pick up seed. It is longer than other feeders so we did move it from our old feeder's location.
